Im wondering what would be the best way to replace the spark plug wires and the dizzy cap on my 88 2.9L cuz I noticed the dizzy is covered by the intake plenum do I have to take the intake off or is there an easy way to do it that Im to thick to see?

just take all the wires off and then remove the cap, replace the rotor, reinstall a new cap, then change the plugs and wires. its a tight fit but pulling the plenum isnt necessary, it just makes access to the distributor more convenient.

Patience! lol If you are careful and take your time it's not hard. I numbered and put my plug wires on the cap before putting it on,I have also removed it that way also. It is kinda like a puzzle,if you take your time and don't force anything it will fit. I think I remember threading the plug wires through over the dist working from the passenger side. There is just enough room for the cap to fit over the rotor if you tip the cap.

Ok cool thanks guys i took one look and was ok asking for help before i get in over my head not used to seeing the dizzy back there and covered by the plenum
