Leave the oil in and let it spin. Or remove the spider gears.

If you leave it to spin, have it turned around backwords and rig up some LED lights on the pinion flange. That'll distract the drivers behind you.

My reason for trying for the same tire and wheel as your truck is so you only need to carry 1 trailer spare. The truck already has one.

If you do match the vehicle tire size, never run a P series tire on a trailer. You can run an LT tire in place of an ST tire.

I get the statement, but what's the reasoning? Are the P tires to low of a weight rating for trailer use?

Normally there are tons of axle options at tractor supply. Then you can get the axle with the hubs in it already and probably get the bolt pattern you want.


Just unbolt that axle and bolt in the new one
