Best Brand For LSD

I'm going to get limited slip for my truck, I have the 8.8 with the 28 spline and I'm curious on what the best brand is. I was looking at the eaton and I heard it's pretty good. Any thoughts? nearly $200 for a used LS? Sounds kinda pricey...Especially because I didn't see any details as to how much wear it has on it (clutch type LS, so the clutches wear out)... Could get a 31-spline 8.8 axle with a factory LS in it for that sorta price, and swapping axles is usually easier than messing with gears and stuff.

Swapping an axle? Its certainly easier than dealing with gears.

Or do you mean is it that easy to find a LS 8.8 out of a junkyard?
They are a dime a dozen, all depends on what gears you are after (4.10s and 3.73s are popular in the 4x4 community, It seems half the world wants these axles.)

I'd like a 4.10 to go with my big tires. I know of a ford truck graveyard, I may go snoop around there.

They definitely exist. How common they are seems to be a matter of opinion, some people have real good luck finding the axle they want, others have no luck at all...

It's 3.55, but I got bigger tires and figured going to 4.10 was a good idea.

Go try and find yourself an fx4 lvl 2 and grab the rear out of it....31 spline, torsen limited slip and will bolt right in.
