Bedliner in a can, which one?

Has anyone ever painted over a bedliner such as Rustoleum or Herculiner?

What brand of paint did you use?

Sprayed on the paint, rolled on the herculiner. I used Krylon ultra flat camo green. Painted it on after about 4 hrs, while the herculiner was still tacky. Turned out really well, matches the rest of the truck. You can see a texture difference but thats expected.

well i went with the rustoleum, and for 16.95 a qrt at lowes wasnt bad, also got the duplicolor roller kit...turned out nice

its a finer texture, im still figuring out this dam camera, it doesnt show good detail

used the Rustoleum on the bed of our vfd's brush rig about 3 years ago and it's holding up pretty well.

Spray on is the ONLY way to go. That roll on crap flakes off in as little as a few weeks or a couple years.

sucks to be you. quality comes at a cost. rhino or linex is the only way to go. been there, learned from experience. My bed spray on liner is actually going to match the truck... and last.

I agree that the professionally sprayed liner is better quality and will last longer.
The cost difference for me was important though. I prepped everything well and the cost of the Herculiner was much less that getting a spray on coating done. Touch ups are no big deal if needed, and mine actually matches the truck too.

If I was planning on lining a truck bed, I would use Rhino or Linex or similar because I think it would stand up to much more abuse since its applied so much thicker. Using the roll on liner for rockers etc... is going to suit my needs fine.
