well the time has come to paint my roof, and im wanting to use bedliner in a can. i want it to look good, and i dont want to spend too much money(more then 50-65 bux). which brand would be the best to use? spray can or roll on?

Duplicolor works well for small things such as light tabs, but for painting your roof, I, just like strvger suggest using herculiner...

It turned grey on my grille guard... :annoyed:

NOT Duplicolor!!!! i'd go the Herculiner or Road Warrior (Rustoleum). i've had good luck with both those brands. and both require really good prep per their instructions.
AGREED! Not Duplicolor! I used some on a tool box and a week later I could scrape it off with my fingernail. Total crap........

aight. yea i know all about the prep, i worked at rhino for about 2 yrs, sux it closed down i'd do that instead, but i want something decently durable, so i guess ill see what i can find around here and go with the rustoleum or herc

My vote goes for the Herculiner! Good stuff

For you guys saying avoid Duplicolor, WHICH Duplicolor are you talking about?

I've heard bad things for a while about their one branded "truck bed coating" but good things about "bed armor". I am considering doing the later on both trucks.

Thanks

I just used Herculiner to do my rockers, up to the body line. Waited until the first coat was tacky (about 2hrs) applied the second coat. Waited another 4 hrs for the second coat to get tacky and painted the Herculiner to match the BII. Turned out looking really good, paint adhered well and its very hard to scratch. We will see how well it holds up with the paint. I used flat olive drab green from Krylon, thats what the entire BII is painted with so it matched perfectly.

i got a full refund on the gallon size Duplicolor tuck bed coating plus 2 full quarts of acetone (or mineral spirits, don't remember which) to clean up the mess the Duplicolor caused. stuff just plain sucked! i'm just glad their customer support was good.
