be careful where you drop stuff

while pulling injectors out of a 2002 2.3 Duratec #1 decided the O ring should slide off the injector and stay in the hole.
no problem about the O ring, BUT when it slides off so does the end cap. which fell down the intake port and landed on the valve.
good thing the valves were closed.
lessons learned: clean the injector hole first, and if the intake is off stuff something down the port.

I went through this before. Took a frustrating amount of time to fish the cap out of there too.
