bagging the rear

I've got an 84 ranger... looking for ideas on how to bag the rear of my truck. I only want one switch too dump and fill the two air bags that would be going in.
I'm new to bags so i might need a few details about it

i was thinking a 2 link (panhard bar) but thats as far as i got.... any ideas
of how much this might cost?

I am also looking for parts IE. bags and shit.

There are a few different ways to do this, but we need to know how low you intend to go, and is this the height you will be leaving it, or will you go lower in the near future?? How much travel are you wanting to have?? Different bag placement will give you different heights of travel(IE, an 8" bag can give you 8" of travel/adjustment whereas in a different location the same 8" bag can give you 36" of travel/adjustment)...Depending on how much adjustment you want will decide where to place the bag and also determine which type of bag mounts you will need. I also would advise using separate valves for each bag, not using one fill valve for both bags and one to dump both bags...

Hmmm. I would like to be able to throw some sparks if at all possible. I am lowered 4/5 if that helps with anything?

as for travel I could care less as long as i can drag some frame.
I will be bagging the frond but thats for another time. I just want the rear for now.
so why two valves?
 
You want 2 valves for a couple reasons, first it isolates the bags from each other, so when you take a turn one bag wont empty into the other, helping your truck to lean. Also, it will fill and dump faster as you have twice the volume of air going to and from the bags...I would get bag brackets that mount just to the rear of the axle, not on top, monster notch, and a triangulated 4 link...

where your axle is at now, measure how much distance you have from the top of your axle to the bottom of your frame, then measure how much from the bottom of your frame to the ground. The difference is how much your notch needs to be. I would add another 1.5 inches for safe measurements...As far as the 4 link, yeah, that one is real good and will work great for your setup

TTB suspensions do not have this problem. Your case they make a boltin airbag that has a shock builtin to the design...Another option is to relocate the shock

for a shock you have to make your own upper shock mounts, since there are no upper bag mounts that incorporate a shock mount.
 
The shockwave bags are built around a shock, meaning the bag is in the middle of the shock, so it is boltin, with the exception of running an airline to the bag for operation...

There are far superior options than a shockwave available and for a better price as well. A shock wave will not be a direct bolt in on any ranger.
 
Sorry to revive this thread. I'm totally new to this. I have a 94 B4k. I wanna set it on bags. I want the lowest i can get but, I DO NOT want to modify my bed at all as i will be hauling my ATV in the back. Is this possible and whats my best route? Thank you in advance.
