Well just a little update on this issue. The truck is at an engine shop and is having the entire motor rebuilt. There is a 60% loss of compression in the #5 cylinder, 40% in #6 and 20% in #4. It has a bad valve in cylinder #5 as well. There is severe blowby in the #5 and #6 cylinder. So the motor is shot.
At least I got to the root of the issue and it is now getting taken care of. Of course the extended warranty is only covering 2200.00 of the repair bill. That is 600.00 shy of the total, but I will take it if it means finally getting it resolved.
