Well, for those of you that remember my BII, well, unfortunately I had to give up halfway to completion. So, I'm tired of not wheeling, so I got me a Ranger. It's a 94 ext. cab, 4.0, M5OD/manual 1354. It's purple.:thefinger: Long story short, I traded a bunch of things, and eventually turned $500 into this Ranger. Haha! It's going to be a fairly quick build. Here's a picture of it as it started out the day today.
Back in the Game

I pulled it into the garage this afternoon, and will take and post pics of progress tomorrow. It's going to be a fairly low-buck build for now... Here's the spec list.

Drivetrain:
HP D44 - cromo's, CTM's, 5.13's, Detroit, NWF high steer arms, 1 ton Chev TRE's, loooooooooooooooong arms with RE heims.
Ford 9" - Disc brakes, trussed, Detroit, 5.13's
C4 - C5 bell, B&M Megashifter, AA C4 to BW135x case, soon to have RMVB
4.0 v6 - no real mods, will do cold air intake, HUGE alum. rad and both pusher and puller e-fans, a/c is staying :headbang:

Suspension:
Coil sprung front with Bronco Graveyard 4.5" EB "superflex" coils, Bilsteins.
Leaf sprung, 4" Ranger leaves. Maybe shackle flip. Unsure on shocks.

Tires:
37x14r15 IROK
Inner Air Lock
15x10 D-windows, rock rings

Other Doo-dads:
30 gallon aluminum fuel cell, Corbeau suspension seats w/ five points, all interior and carpet is staying, square tube sliders, f/r tube bumpers, tube flares, set of half doors, bed bob: 115" w/b.

This truck will be fully streetable once completed. I plan on doing suspension/axles/trans/rad and get it wheeling, then pick away at other stuff. Stay tuned! :icon_welder:

Sucks about you B2, I really liked that build. Looking forward to seeing this build though.

Thanks man, I really liked it too... haha. Ahh well, priorities change I guess.

Sick as a dog today, no work is happening. Will have to go out and get a quick pic of yesterday afternoon's adventures.

Welcome back :D

Sounds like a solid truck. I'd love to have one like that with that set up.

Unfortunately, it's not a real solid truck. Found some pretty hefty rust under it as I was tearing jank off. Oh well, bit of frame repair ain't no thang! Anyway, here's some pics from Saturday. Sorry for the crappy pics. Haven't worked on the truck since Saturday though. Sick as a dog still and managed to acquire "corneal abrasion" from a metal shaving at work this morning. Ya me!

This is a driver side Corbeau and RCI five point.

This is everything off the front end; coilbuckets, radius arm crossmember, beam pivot brackets, etc.

And... ya rust! Truck came from the rainy coast, so lots and lots of wet, rainy weather. No, it's not a rust hole in the frame... it's weight reduction! :icon_idea:

Will post more once I am feeling better to start working on it again. :icon_thumby:

WELCOME BACK ANDRE:icon_thumby::icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

HA. HA. Thanks for the warm welcome John! :thefinger:

All of you though, thanks! Good to be back. And I can't wait to get wheelin' again! Looks like it'll be a bit longer though, actually had to get minor eye surgery today, turns out there was still a piece of shrapnel in there from Friday that the doc missed. Went to the eye doc today, she caught it right away. :icon_confused: Anyway, had to have the ol' eyeball drilled, so I'll be out for a bit! Can't really build a truck one-eyed! Well... you could. But it'd be about 37 different kinds of off. Haha. Will post progress pics when I get back to it! In the mean time, feel free to post up suggestions and whatnot. I know lots of guys are building cool stuff these days!

is that why mine is so off:icon_confused::icon_confused::icon_confused:

knew it was something, just didn't know it was because I am legally blind in my right eye....guess I will quit working on my truck:D:thefinger::icon_rofl:

seriously though...sorry to hear about your eye, glad ya got it caught this quick...I wasn't so lucky...

anyways, hurry and get better so you can get to work on the truck and back into the woods:icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

l8r, John

Haha, it wasn't a jab at ya, buddy. I'm just not used to being one-eyed! And after the surgery I'm real sensitive to light. But don't ya fret none! I'll be back at 'er as soon as I'm able!

I've been out in the woods...but the daily ain't much of a rock basher. :icon_twisted:

Andres! I still have your new (spare) Detroit springs.... pm me an address to ship them to and I'll get them outta here. Ran into them again the other day and had a 'oh shit!' moment....

Haha! Thanks Andrew. If I'm honest, I had forgotten about them. PM incoming!:icon_thumby:

Alright, so got out in the shop for a few hours tonight. Wire wheeled down the front bit of the frame, did some measuring, and plopped this batch underneath...

Moved the axle about 2-2.5" forward from stock. Fits nice! Just have to get an Explorer rear driveshaft slip yoke and the front driveshaft will bolt up. Yeah! Also did the drag link. I'm using a 2WD F-250 pitman arm reamed to fit 1 ton Chev TRE's. It's not 100% flat, but close enough. Here's a shot of the steering.

Tomorrow I go down to get more welding gas. I've just been tacking stuff with a little flux-core 110v welder... oi. Hopefully this weekend she'll be on her own weight!

Wow, looking real good!! U are right about a fast build!!

He cheated and had the parts ready to go.... :thefinger:
