So i posted about this problem about a week ago and was told that the hole is located on the back of the block but I've looked and looked and still can't find it haha it looks like the oil is coming from directly next to the distributor near the center of the block where it mounts to the frame but I still can't locate it are all the dipsticks for these little 83 L4 engines? Need more input

Are all the dipsticks for these 83 L4 engines in the same place?

To my knowledge, the dipstick tubes are all in the same place. Below the intake manifold, rearward of the oil filter, rearward of the distributor. Into the block, just above the gasket for the oil pan. To the right of the oil filter.
I think it is more visible if you remove the filter. You can remove and replace the filter without needing to install a new one if that is a concern. The tube on mine more or less arcs over the oil filter on its way downward and rearward.

How long have you had this truck? Hopefully PO didn't loose the dipstick. The tube is more than likely still in place if this is the case. Even if the motor had been swapped the dipstick tube should have stayed on, there may be a loose bracket, but it should still be there. I had this problem when I swapped a 1zz motor into my Corolla. I had to take the intake manifold off to tighten the dipstick tube bracket back on to the motor. Look where tomw suggested to look. Sounds like the actual dipstick it self is just missing.
