My dad bought his 94 B4000 extended cab 4x4 new. It has about 115k on it and has been a great truck. For years now if it's started and driven, then shut off and started again before completely cooling off, it has an extremely noticeable rough running condition (both idle and if driven). That roughness goes away fairly quickly but it happens every time.
I saw a YouTube video that made me wonder if it has a cracked head. The coolant could be leaking in and taking a while to burn out. However it never smokes and seems to run ok.
What should I check besides doing a full tune up? I know it's been a while so I'm going to have my 15 year old do that so he can learn.
