I have a 2004 B2300 2-wheel drive with 4 cylinder and 5 speed transmission. I recently installed LED headlights and turn signal and brake lights with LED. I added a clip-on resistor to the headlight wires (recommended) and put in a LED flasher designed for LED lights. Recently The alternator light would flash on. If I turned on the A/C and blower fan it would go off. Intermittently it would flash back on, but if I repeated the above process, it would go off. I took it to the mechanic shop and after much troubleshooting they replace the alternator and the battery. That fixed it for a while.

Now the ABS and Parking Brake light will flash on. Most times they stay on. When I set the cruise, they turn off. Sometimes I can turn on A/C full blast and fan blower on full blast and all the dash lights shut off. Recently the 4-way flasher makes the clicking noise as if they are turned on, BUT the 4-ways are off. I also noticed that the windshield wipers do not turn on either. If I turn on the headlights, A/C full blast, blower fan full blast, radio on, cruise on, the windshield wipers will work, but only intermittently. This has been going on for a few months. The battery stays charged so I "think" I've eliminated the alternator or battery from the equation. I do not know what is causing this issue. I'm thinking maybe the Instrument cluster.... Any ideas? About a month ago I installed one of the modules in the OBDII port that is "supposed" to increase gas mileage. I did NOT see any improvement or difference in this issue, BUT I did remove it this morning and did NOT see any change. I'm thinking about getting a replacement Instrument cluster off eBay or local salvage yard to see if that fixes it.

What say You?

Check the ground from the rear of the engine to the firewall. Make sure there is no corrosion.

Duh <Facepalm> Should have remembered that! Thanks
