Has anyone had trouble with a auxiliary shaft breaking in half?
What could cause this and where am I going to find another one. This is for an early carbureted 2.3 with a distributor. I have been looking online and cannot find one. I guess I'm going to have to try the junkyard. Any help would be great. Thanks

I don't know what would cause one to break but the last time I needed one I got it out of a 2.0 Ranger. All 2.0s were carbureted and had mechanical fuel pumps so they have the extra lobe.

I have never seen anything like that before. Guess I will hit the junkyard this weekend.
Thanks
