1988 Floor Shift Assembly Ford Ranger | XLT,MT | X | J1136 | $Call | American Auto Salvage USA-VA(Woodbridge) Request_Quote 571-418-8952 / 540-825-2571 |
All the 83-88 RBVS had the pictured shifter for auto trans/manual t case arrangement.I didn't know they ever even made a factory floor shift option for the bronco 2. Are you only looking for the factory setup as pictured? There are alot of aftermarket floor shifters that will work with the A4LD.
That would be against Ford's basic way of making automobiles. Make things as different as possible, requiring the most part numbers and the most spare parts on the shelf.Im not sure why they went away from the floor auto shifter, seems a lot less hassle then a column shift, And youd only need one steering column and dash cluster regardless of transmission setup.

Why in the world would you make the Bronco II rear frame an inch wider in the rear than the ranger pickup? Requiring a different rearend on the production line?
Then make the ranger 1 inch wider so everything interchanges.
Thank you for the info. I will give them a call. The place below claims to have one.

At least a column shifter is still better than the stupid electric knob on the Edge.
I effin hate that stupid knob. And the parking brake "button".
Yep, I'm the only one. I gotta have the stock stuff for my build.I didn't know they ever even made a factory floor shift option for the bronco 2. Are you only looking for the factory setup as pictured? There are alot of aftermarket floor shifters that will work with the A4LD.
