Attempting wiper troubleshooting


I spent a little time studying the diagram today. Here is what I have figured out. From what you are saying, it sounds like your internal governor module is faulty, unless you can find some wiring shorted to ground somewhere.


I looked over this diagram and the notes as well. Am I reading this correctly that when the MFS is in the park position there should not be any voltage between DG (Dark Green) and ground? I always read about 12V here (reading from the negative battery terminal and the socket for the DG wire that attaches to the govenor). Jiggling the wires around does not make a difference.

I would only expect 12v on the dark green wire when the mfs is in the intermittent position. The mfs applies 12v to activate the interval timer. If you have voltage there all the time, there is something wrong.
