Are these the correct push rods for 1993 Ranger 4.0?

I am replacing my push rods and rocker arms due to a lot of ticking/clacking on my 1993 Ranger 4.0 XLT. Journal: https://www.therangerstation.com/fo...-rods-on-1993-ranger-4-0.211359/#post-2065374

Just removed my push rods, and they are definitely worn. Ends are slightly flattened on both sides, so there's likely a little travel, hopefully the cause of my ticking. Which would make sense since these 4.0's don't typically get enough oil to these areas, and wear is common.

I ordered Enginetech replacement pushrods from Rock Auto: https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/ford,1993,ranger,4.0l+v6,1137923,engine,push+rod,5648

All of these pushrods on Rock Auto (Enginetech, Melling, SBI) list a length of 5.475". But when I compare one of my old pushrods to the new Enginetech ones, the "worn" old ones actually seem just so ever slightly longer, just a hair, even after the wear. I'm worried I'll replace these with slightly shorter rods, and will still have the clicking.

Any thoughts or suggestions? In attached photo, new pushrods on left, old on right. Thanks!

Pictures don't cut it with something like this.

Actual measurements are priceless... and the only way to proceed.

There use to be three different lengths. Also there use to be places to have custom lengths made.

If you rockers are worn too... depending on wear... they could make up the difference.

Just measured with a digital caliper. New rod is 5.481 and old worn one is 5.479. So new ones aren’t a hair shorter than the old like i thought. But a hair longer, which seems right. Interesting that new rods are longer than spec. But I think these seem pretty dang close.

That’s helpful. It doesn’t ship to my state. And I already have these which seem like the right length. Did you happen to confirm that your pushrods were 5.48” by measuring yourself?

Nope. Sorry.
