Anyone seen "Avatar" ?

I am sick and tired of seeing the stupid commercials and everything endorsing this damn movie. Best movie of all time? That shows the direction the country is going. Fantasy lands and blue, big-nosed people with spears? To hell with all that.

It's not the only one. Iron Man 2 is really getting old. Heck, they practically showed the whole movie in a couple commercials (exaggeration of course, but you know what I mean).

My all time favorite of the Marvel company is Hulk. I've been a fan of that since the mini series with Bill Bixby.

I watched avatar and unlike my less witty friends actually understood the concept and followed it very well, one of the guys that watched it saw "Law Abiding Citizen" and was still confused at the credit roll.

However I didn't think it was the greatest movie of all time........ nor the worst. The direction our country is headed....... ahh mediocrity.

You said there's going to be sequels? I'd like to see a reputable source on that. I'd go crazy if I heard there was and then there wasn't. I did hear there's going to be a re-release in theaters and maybe IMAX this summer with extended footage that he didn't include.

Also, I'd like to see a prequel telling about how they first arrived on the planet, the school, etc.

I havent had the desire to watch this movie. I cant get into the space sci fi thing and ive already seen Dances With Wolves so i think i will pass on it.

Google or BING it. He said that the next one would deal with the planet's oceans or something like that. It's a continuation of Jake Sully and what's-her-face. A re-release is planned because they thought that their max potential wasn't met because of other blockbusters.

I think that they're just milking it for extra $$$.

my thoughts? crazy awesome animation with some good action and a story that sucked balls.

the ONLY thing that made this movie worth watching was the amazing 3-D. the story was so lame and has been done 10 million times and this wasnt even a well done version. i expected a movie that got such good ratings to have a good story but no. i wouldnt even want to see it again cause the animation is never good the second time you watch a movie, then you start pointing out all the flaws.


but for the record, i really liked Dances with Wolves

I saw it and have to agree that it is "Pocahontas with Machine guns". I think they went overboard on the "hey look what we can do with a film" but it was alright.

I'm sure Cameron has that in the works. Sadlt, I have YET to see the movie.

That's what it looks like. I wouldn't be surprized if he was "inspired" (ripped off) that great flick. I think I still have a VHS copy kicking around the house.

Taken was a very good movie. Its no match for movies like The Big Lebowski though or There Will Be Blood.

There will be blood was the funniest movie I've seen in forever, almost as funny as north country.
