Seems to me that factory-style y pipes are available for Rangers but only for 4.0l trucks and 3.0l trucks after '98. I can't seem to find anything that says it fits a '95 3.0l. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. Or tell me that a 4.0l y-pipe will fit fine or that one for a '94 will fit fine. The y-pipe on my truck was butchered by the previous owner so he could delete the cat and weld in a flowmaster. I prefer things to be stock and enjoy having cleaner, quieter exhaust with working O2 sensors.

Looks like the cat is separate from the y-pipe. I don't see it readily available so this may be a junkyard item.

Anyone got a line on a y-pipe (downpipe) for a '95 3.0l?

Yeah the cat bolts to a flange at the back of the pipe which is why mine is shot. I suppose I could cut the entire flange off and simply weld them together but I'd really prefer a bolted connection.

Incredibly, the local u-pull has a bunch of Rangers and their all 4.0l trucks right now. They had a 3.0 but it's downpipe had been butchered in the exact same way!

Wait a second. Is the 95 the only year not listed? If so I'd bet the originals changed in that year model. It's pretty common in that case to need to order parts for the newer or older year to get the right part.

Edit: After minimal comparisons I'd give it a 80% chance the earlier part works fine.

Seems like 1995-1997 are unavailable, at least in my searching. Many of the listings for '92-'94 y-pipes say they fit both the 3.0l and the 4.0l which I feel a little skeptical of.

That seems uh. Highly unlikely. Also I remember seeing that once on an E-bay listing with a not that said 4.0 only.

Yeah I'll err on the side of caution and not gamble on any multi-engine (claimed) fitments. Guess I'll see what turns up in the yard next week.
