I don't really have time to browse gun stores, or drive 40 miles to the nearest gun store who stocks a variety.

So if anyone has ever bought a gun online, let me know where and what the experience was like. Right now I'm browsing www.gunsamerica.com

try this

gunbroker.com it works just like ebay

Yeah, if you have a handy FFL holder to receive it for you.

it varys widly on the type of one you get EG type 1-11 Class 1-3. fees can be from 30 to 3000 bucks

I've only ever bought a few NEW firearms, Is tick to "previously owned"
and I trust MY inspection far more than that of a Gunsmith I don't know
and Infinately more than that of a salesman I've never met.

Hmm.. you bring up a good point.

I never thought of it that way. I would much rather be able to inspect a firearm, especially a used firearm, prior to making a purchase. You never know what you might be getting, my fathers 7mm Mag has had over 1000 rounds put through it, and it definitely shows. The bluing is completely gone from the end. I could put up pictures of it after I painted it and you would never even see the wear and tear on it. As opposed to a firearm that you can inspect in person, you would be a lot less likely to fall victim to a firearm that looks to be in perfect condition, while it really is no where's near it.

Koda, bottom line is, obviously you know about guns, so you need to review their return policy and read all the fine print. what you know about this gun is all that is listed in the description. which unless you know the guy selling it is about as useful as a v8 in a 747. dont get screwed man

koda if you really are looking into getting one online my local gun shop has a website and its a place that i could walk right in an get pics and look over the gun that way. i have gone a few times looking at getting a conceal an carry handgun an the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. heres their site: http://www.rrarms.com/index.php
