Anybody feel scammed by RockAuto?

I accessorized the escape using rock auto, shipping cost was up there, 3 different warehouse locations, grille guard came by truck freight. The fuel pump I got from them last oct for the ranger (delphi) has had issues so I put my frame mount summit efi racing pump back on with it. Last spring when I needed all new steering linkage for the ranger their website was just too confusing to understand what I really needed, went with O’reilys on that one. I did get a good closeout deal on front shocks for the ranger, $12 each.

Amazon is prioritizing essential delivers... or some story like that.
Fine. Then they should denote that its gonna take 2 weeks to get it before you order it.

Amazon just pissed me off.

I ordered an IAT and ECT for my 2.9 with free overnight shipping. I ordeder and paid for it and now it says may 15th.

There's a giant label on top of there website that says shipping non priority items is delayed from the coronas...

But who decides it is priority? Auto/Heavy equipment mechanics have been deemed essential so Our parts should also hold the same weight unlike marigold seeds. :icon_confused:

I order one thing at a time from Rock Auto, never had an issue (lucky me).

I wonder if Rock Auto is going down the same path as Warshawski's???
(AKA: JC Whitney's - Everything Automotive and now owned by "US AUTO PARTS")

Someday the world will be owned by one entity... .. , the Martian's?

IMO baby wipes should be up there with anything Amazon sells too...

Pretty sure dealerships don't order from amazon.

Dealerships? No
Automotive Repair Shops? Yes

I know quite a few in my area that use Rockauto when the customers don't need the vehicle for a short time. My buddy's shop does it both for his shop vehicles and customers but he also supplements income with his towing business to so there is no lack of work for him.

We should probably hug in my basement.

I'm not sure If I should be flattered or scared as hell... :icon_rofl:

Has anybody ever tried ordering from the manufacturers. When Ineed ed plugs for my Nissan, NGK was the brand everyone suggested. I could get 8 from RockAuto, but I checked NGK.com, and they had them for the same price and shipped them for free. The bigger manufacturers aren't making their $$ from shipping like The wharehouses are. So it's something to check into that no one else has mentioned.

In my experience only a few manufactures for automotive parts ship to privet addresses. Many just ship to retail shops and direct you through links to point you towards retailers where you can purchase them. I to have found at times I could cut out the middle man and get it cheaper but for the most part I need to deal with a retailer... added cost.
