This is the last year for Pontiac. It's hard to believe the company that produced the GTO, Trans Am, Grand Prix, G8 and others is gone.

one of my dream cars is....

1969 Pontiac GTO Judge. 1 of 1 car built in factory Matador Red with red interior, 4 speed and with ultra-rare factory air conditioning. 1 of only 249 4 speed air conditioned cars built

pontiac will come back some day when GM finally pulls their head out of their ass.

Yes, Jim. I had a 65 blue GTO with 455 and 2-4's!!!! It was one of the lightest GTO's and one of the smaller styles before they were made bigger and heavier. If I could find that thing as it was when I sold it in '77, I would buy it back!!! Lot's of memories about that as well as my 68 'Cuda!!!! Cars were so simple to hot rod then....lol

My first car was a '68 Firebird. 350, auto, A/C, deluxe interior, and the rare folding back seat option. It did not open into the trunk, so it was only marginally useful. Come to think, much like the folding back seat in my Sport Trac.
Simple fact is that GM had too many lines of cars that were too similar, especially after the imports moved up to building mid-size cars and took a bigger share of the market. First Olds, now Pontiac. They'd probably axe Buick too except that the Chinese are buying them by the shitload.

I'm surprised Buick didn't go first, but I guess old people need cars to drive also.

I haven't driven a Pontiac for about thirty years...maybe more...my second car was a Pontiac Strato-Chief...three in the tree with an in-line six banger...it was actually a great car...but had to replace the clutch once...think I sold it for more than I paid, but it was so long ago...

As for the new stuff...it's sad to see a long-time name-brand drop off the market...but I don't think I'd buy one even if I could afford it...and it's not because I don't think they make good vehicles...just prefer Fords...

I love the pontiacs. I would really love to have one of the new G8 GT's but thats not gonna happen anytime soon. I have a 1972 Pontiac ventura that I am restoring/upgrading.

I would really love to get my hand on a old Goat though.

Personally I like the Pontiac better than about any other GM line, Chevrolet included.

My dad has a 72 Ventura II, Sport. Needs a lot of work, but I'm gonna get her running again one of these days.

I would've bought a G8 GT without question had they kept Pontiac around. My hope is that they'll re-badge it as a chevy or something. Who knows....they were talking about bringing back a "full size, rear-drive" chevy. Maybe the Caprice is making a comeback?? :icon_idea: I'd be first in line:icon_thumby:

Always wanted a 1983 pontiac parisienne (the one with the 3 spoke steering wheel) with the 305 quadrajet and the th-200-4r overdrive auto in it.

never been a fan of any GM vehicle, though classic cars are classic cars and they were all pretty much built the same back then. Still, im a ford guy first and a mopar guys second. GM vehicles arent on my list.

It should be a Sprint. It should have a sbc 350 in it. If you were closer, I wouldn't mind helping another ventura owner out.

Pontiacs are cool. I like the aggressive front end on most of them. I have had a 70 GTO, 72 Grand Prix,90 Le Mans and a 86 T/A. The Goat was cool but was trashed and thrashed (totaled) before I got it then I wrecked it again due to having 50's on the back and driving on rain soaked back roads.
