whats goin on? my names mike and i work on just about anythin at academy ford in laurel, md. i have a 1998 F150 that i got from my dad and i absolutely love that truck. i decided to get another truck to have some fun with (evil laugh - tear it up!!!). the 88 i just picked up is my project truck. first i plan on a once over of the 2.3 with new seals, gaskets and new clutch (since ill have engine out - plus it has the original clutch which it still good lol) and other small stuff. it has the M5OD which im glad instead of it having the pos toyo kogo trans. the rear has a lincoln locker (welded spiders) for killer traction. in the future i plan on a 302 swap. the truck is in pretty rough shape (cosmetically) right now. the interior is fresh. it runs and drives like a champ tho. it was rolled and the driver was able to drive it away from the accident. the roof is dented and so is the passenger side b pillar also the right rear bed side. the doors shut perfectly and the frame is straight. which i am amazed after it was rolled. new windows were put it and no modification was needed to fit the new glass! will post pics up soon! the ranger has this badass look to it that i'm liking. im thinkin of paintin a skull and cross bones logo on the roof, hood, tailgate OR the doors. not sure yet. any ideas? also i dont hafta worry about scratchin her up cause shes got a flat black rattle can paint job lol
first question, has anyone removed that chrome piece on the tailgate and done something with the FORD letters? i pulled mine off and have an idea for a painting of the ford lettering.

good to be here, peace.

-mike
