Alternator rebuild kit

Quick question for y'all, I'm looking for a rebuild kit for my alternator. It's off a 2.9 from a 90 ranger, is there a recommended rebuild kit? I'd like to keep it as a spare if possible. Thank you!

So I did look through there, but I’m not seeing anything for a 2.9, Mostly for ford v8s. If there’s one that’s compatible I’m happy to get it, just not sure

I know rockauto has the brush and bearing listed, but I’d like to get a full kit if possible

It looks like I may have lead you astray. If you use their pull-down menus at the top there are a lot more applications. It looks like Ranger only goes back to 1991. Sorry.

No you're fine! I'm struggling to find any info. I know diy rebuilding alts is kind of a thing of the past for most people, but I'd rather do it than just throw it away. Think I'd just be able to buy one bearing for each end, new brush, and be good with it? Without even being able to find a kit or diagram or something I don't even know what I'd be missing

I rebuilt a 2.9 alternator about a year ago. IIRC, I purchased the bearings and brushes as separate parts from NAPA and O’Reilly’s.

Not what your asking for, but this might be a good opportunity to upgrade to a ford 3g alternator.

If I was getting a new alt, definitely would upgrade. I’m just reusing what I have sitting
