I did a search, but found nothing.

Any special tricks to taking the alternator pulley off? I'm going to need to do that this week, and need to know If I need a puller or any special tools.

Thanks a ton for any info,
Mike

Get a rag to wrap around the pulley and take the nut iff with an impact wrench. Easiest way and done in no time. If your changing to an underdrive pulley, and your using a
1/2" impact don't use an impact socket to install the under drive pulley. Use a regular socket because the wall of the impact socket is too thck to engage the nut and fit into the pulley cavity.

Thanks Coffee, much appreciated

If you have an impact gun you don't need the rag.

the impact gun will do a fine job just working against the inertia
of the alternator.

Can you do it without an impact? Not that I'm aware of...

Hold the pulley with a strap wrench and then give the ratchet handle a good wack with a hammer.

I just use the rag for that little extra margin of saftey. If I didn't Murphy would help me cut something.
