Alright this sucks

Well i went to muddy gras this weekend, well today and went to go into 4wd and got nothing. i got the clicks on the dash but it wasn't locking in. Driveshaft was spinning. So idk what the hell is going on. I'm guessing the hubs.

Anyone know anything

check the tech section, your vacuum hubs are prolly leaking......

either get manual hubs, or lock yours in permanently

no this is just the forum section when your on the home page and you see the forum button go over to the tech library instead of the forums

Yeah the tech library will show you how to permanently lock them in... But it sounds like the vacuum hubs went out. Do yourself a favor and switch to manual, or permanently lock them in. Mine are getting permantly locked in once I get my front driveshaft back in.

I did the 100% lock in and it works. until i get avm's

i would say 100% locked would affect your gas milage

That's very cool, but I'd buy a good set of manual hubs to replace all the vacuum crap! Locked in conversion all the time is drag on mileage and wears out the front drivetrain prematurely.

The vacuum hub isn't bad once the manual conversion is done. But I'm more considering this a temp fix until I put a Dana 44 under it.

It is also nice having 2 wheel low as an option as well.

Does this work with the 93 rangers? Since someone put only one manual hub on mine, I figure the manual conversion would be a good temp fix for me.

EDIT:: 4.0 with D35 I believe, if that matters?

It was Ford's fix for the vacuum hub problem so it must not be too bad.
