Actually this thread is specifically for people installing the AJE kit on to a ranger. That way when someone googles how to do it the info will be there. Not like when I was first starting the build.....a puzzle with no pic/instructions to follow.

@tshren the sn95 racks require fox inner tierods. SN95 inners are way too long. Pretty sure I documented this.

Ya been meaning to start a new thread as well but waiting for funding to replenish, hate to start a thread and then no action on it.

You did, and you were the main reason I got my kit installed as easy as I did. I do appreciate you being the trail blazer for this one.

I have a fox rack in a cart, the belltech sway bar you listed as well.

The belltech sway works great except its either too long, or the AJE mounts on the control arms are too narrow. One of these days I need to cut them off and move them in a bit.

@Tshern whats your intended use with the truck?

Street truck, I'll probably set it up with a four link and take it to the track on a test and tune day but 99% of it is just something fun to drive.
I used to have access to a ton of cars for parts and saved some and hauled the rest off. The stroker was originally from my Tbird. I had an 88 turbocoupe and after building a 2.3t for it I decided to v8 swap it. I stumbled onto this ranger and was in amazing shape so decided to move my 331 to it and put the tbird back together with the 2.3t.

I have a 9 inch an explorer 8.8 and I think an IRS from a late 80s tbird laying around. Plan is to go 8.8 for now, get it setup on the new fuel injection setup I got from Aces EFI. I think I have most everything figured out but brakes and what to do with the fuelcell.

The fuel cell is in the bed with a sump. I haven't looked into it but thinking of putting a small tank on the frame or under bed and put the pump in there so I don't have fuel starvation issues.

I kind of wish I would have tried to do IRS out of a mustang cobra. The 3-link I did was a lot of work. Ultimately works great though.

Hey guys it has been a little bit! I wanted to pop in and give everyone a little update after seeing we have some new faces in here. For a little back story for current events.. I moved back to MO at the end of 2022 bought a 5th wheel camper and started a new job haha work kinda paused on the truck mainly because my fiance and I were saving up to get into a house. after a few months we found the perfect one with a massive driveway and a huge shed as well as a smaller one. We spent the money selling the camper to put up a fence and the truck sadly sat another year untouched aside from the cowl hood I aquired. That brings us up to the last year or so. Well my bosses really were impressed with how I preformed at work and gave me an apprenticeship like postion, where I would be building the tow trucks and not making them shiny haha. After what was really about a month of me standing over a few different techs shoulders watching them work and helping with what I could. The few techs and I at this side shop we were working in ended up getting moved into a new building that was just finished being remodeld. after about 2 weeks of moving shops we got back to work.... for like 2 days. Then my foreman came out and handed my very first work order for a Remount and said " Im gonna throw you to the wolves, just ask alot of questions if you get stuck and write it all down.. you got this!" and patted me on the shoulder haha its now been a year this month I made the switch from detail and im currently on my 25th truck (11th for the year!) Now back to the good stuff! So in the last 2 months, I was able to get both my ranger and a second doner truck I bought to my shop and swapped cabs. The new one is fully legal titled in my name so no more worrys about the lost texas title! Its also finally at my house now that its fully legal so work shall resume very soon! My next goal is to bring the truck back up to my shop, pull the cab and bed so I can fully clean the frame, new body mounts and add some bracing in as well as boxing the front end to a point. After that I'll try and start prepping for the cage but still gotta hold off on the go-fast parts because this guy has a wedding date!! 9/26/2026 I get to marry my best friend and appease the government to hopefully not pay as much in taxes haha. However... we have paid of a pretty decent chunk so far with the hopes to be paid off by the end of this year... which means I get all the rest of the time to try and make this thing run and do the most amazing burnout by September!!! Ill post some pics on my phone to catch everyone up with this book I ended up posting. Hope everyone is doing well and can't wait to start working on this thing again!

So first few pictures are from when I did the cab swap. The random guy standing in my driveway is my next door neighbor and just so happens to be a huge car guy like me as you can see buy his garage in the next picture haha. After that is the house with the expensive ass fence. Lastly this is where I was before I left Texas what the truck looked like before it sat for forever haha. No longer though! She’s got a spot in the driveway and a bunch of upcoming plans! Looking forward to posting more updates!
