Hi all,

Looking at fitting a 302 to my ranger and wanting to sort suspension first. Been speaking to local shop today and owner suggested a Mustang 2 front end to improve handling. Doing a bit of research and found the AJE kit which would also encompass engine mounts by the look of it.

Anybody got any experience of either and can recommend. Truck currently on air ride with original I-Beams.

UK based and wanting to build the truck as potential daily runner

Thanks

I have no experience with either. For a first gen I'd either stick with beams, or go to the AJE kit. Nothing wrong with MII as far as I know, I just like the AJE option better. As a bonus AJE offers bolt in mount options for the stock engine, the 5.0, and several other popular engine swap options.

I've got the 85 2wd sitting in the back yard. It's got the 2.3L that I plan to rebuild into a 2.3T. I've also got everything to lower 3-5" on beams and do a cobra 13" brake swap. Even having all of the suspension ready to go the idea of an AJE K-member and an ecoboost swap is very tempting.
