Before I continue, the search function at TRS SUCKS!! A Couple of years ago there was some topics on aftermarket "euro" clear lens headlights and side markers for the 2nd gen 89-92 Rangers, those topics are nowhere to be found.

This '89 Ranger's headlamps are incredibly yellowed, with water on the inside. I can leave high beams on all the time and everyone will think I'm on low beams, it's "that" bad. I just cannot see very good.

I was wondering of some good aftermarket clear lens headlight assemblies for the 2nd gen Rangers. I really don't want OEM's if they yellow up.

can't find nothing on ePay, I thought Styln' Concepts used to carry them, but they seem to be out of buisness? I found the clear corners on Ebay, but I need the matching pair of headlamps.

Help!

Dunno about the replacements, but I did recently "refurbish" a set on a mazda car I bought to sell. The kit is $20 at advanced, but all the stores have 'em- you wetsand the headlight down and remove all the crud, then the rest of the process polishes them back up, finer wet sandpaper, then polish, then some coating to clear them up. It worked damn good on that old car. Brought them back probly 98% and I didn't work at it too damn hard. If you go that route, tape up the painted surfaces around the light, if you slip with the sandpaper it will scratch the hell out of the paint. No, I taped mine up before I stated...

I don't think those cleaners will help me, since the headlamps have water droplets in them, they are probably cracked.

I really would like to find some clear lens diamond cut reflector alternatives to the OEM fluted lenses.

If you go through the tech library, you'll find a section that explains how to keep the inside of the light from fogging up. All you have to do is drill some tiny holes at the top and bottom of the lens assembly. I did that to mine and it keeps them from going yellow again after I prettied up the outside.

If the lenses can breathe, then they won't fog up...

There was some issues with TRS's hosting a while back (much less than a year), all of the old forum was lost.

Yup, LMC truck has some real nice looking clear lights, Expencive as hell tho. As far as drilling holes in the headlight, theres no reason for that. All you have to do is pull the bulb out and let it dry out every once in a while.

use car wax on your headlights...they shine up like new..i dont know if you guys ever tried it, but it works flawlessly put some wax on your pad and work it in circular motions and it may take 2 or 3 waxing's but your lights come out like new.
