If this is somewhere in the forums I could not find. I am looking for an axillary tank, or maybe just a larger replacement for my truck. i currently have the 16 1/2 gallon tank but can't seem to find one that handles fuel injection. They all seem to be for carbureted motors. I was looking for one that could go where the spare is.
I thought about a 19 gallon factory tank but that does not give me much more range and I don't know if I need other sending unit or fuel pump, or if it will even fit.
I would like to keep it out of the bed. I have a 1995 reg. cab, short bed.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

I've looked into to this too... AllanD is the guy to talk to about it, he's done it to his and gave me some good advice about adding extra fuel storage... I'll forward you his PM...

Some have installed the BII tank into a Ranger.

23 gallon capacity and a direct plug in.

Only thing is since the tank is taller, I'm pretty sure you need to either have a body lift or cut into the bed floor for clearance.

FWIW I'm using a 1992 F350/45o Dualie wheel rear fuel tank as an "aux" tank

It required a 1" body lift and sectioning one of the box members under
the bed floor.

As Allan stated to me and I went and looked, it does have a quite large hump on the top of the BII tank that would need quite an extensive body lift...

Thanks

Thanks all for the help. I was hoping I might find out about the old 2 tank Rangers. I notice the bed still has the spot where the hose went from the filller nozzle to the tank.

Does anyone know what years they were made?

A 23 gallon tank would be good. Would it fit a 1995 though? I know rangers seem a lot alike underneath. I wonder about a cut and weld. It would lessen capacity by a few gallons but... Then there is the fuel injection issue.

The 23gallon bronco2 tank doesn't only have that large "hump"
but the filler pipe is in the wrong spot to line up with where the
filler pipe NEED to go in the bed.

the filler pipe on a Bronco2 tank aims the filler pipe right at the
second bed mount bolt. there is insufficient room to "turn" somewhere else, so you'll need to do a soft solder modification to the tank to relocate the filler even if you were willing to live wiht a 4" body lift...

Not that this modification is all that tough for someone who can use a propane torch and plumbers solder....

The last issue is that the front tank support crossmember interferes with the drivers side upper shock mount

The Bronco 2 tank is the answer to prayer for someone with a longbed truck it goes in so easily it's scary, the filler pipe is still in the wrong spot, but the middle bed bolt is just a bit further forward...
