aerostar rear coil buckets on ranger rear axle?

i recently thought of this and i was wondering if anyone has ever done it. take the control arm brackets and coil buckets off an aerostar rear axle and run them on the rear of a ranger. i know you would have to build custom control arms and crossmembers but would it work OK?
