I did some searching, but I could not find a comprehensive thread covering this. My 89 Ranger does not have AC. I would like to add AC and am wondering, just how hard is it to add AC?
  1. Does the dash need to be pulled?
  2. Will I need to drill or cut holes in the firewall?
  3. What compressor do I need to purchase?
  4. What year vehicles can I rob parts from? (including non-Ranger or BII)
  5. Do any of you know of a thread that covers all my questions?
Thank you all for your assistance!
Mike

The closer to your model year the best.

1. Possibly for wiring
2. No, just swap blower motor housings
3. One for a '89 2.3 Ranger, you will need the bracketry too
4. No
5. I converted my '85, but it is both older and has a different engine
