Has anyone tried the accuspark conversion kit on ebay? I have several questions. I noticed the accuspark distributor only has 2 wires. The duraspark distributor has 3 wires. Will the accuspark require the ignition module that the duraspark calls for? Duraspark 30-2691 is impossible to find now days and I'm trying to get my 85 b2 back on the road.

not sure how long they last, but i looked at one on ebay. it appears the full kit has an electronic module in place of the points setup so you can run it either way....electronic or points.

problem i suspect is curving it. based on the pictures on ebay. so base timing once figured out should give you an idea.

it has the round coil....so do the neg low tension side as black on the ground side of coil and the red on the power side of the coil....with a crank run power feeding that from ignition source.

easy peasy

Thank you for the help!
I ordered the kit and I'm going to give it a shot.

what do you mean when you say with a crank run power feeding that from ignition source. Would that be a wire from the big square plug?

run the red green stripe wire from the truck to the power side of the coil.

With the accuspark swap am I still going to have to do the vacuum switch? I’m just getting around to ordering the parts I wanna make sure I order them all. The thing that confused me the most was the vacuum switch. I understand it has 2 prongs on it one for a ground one for power coming from the brake switch. But what is the other end for where it looks like a hose would connects

i would pull it of the noise capacitor on the existing coil, and any vac line if required which is likely. just depends on system and goals.

What wire are you referring to as the negative low tension side?

black-ground side of coil and red crank/run power.

I think I may have messed something up. I know my ballast needs grounded so I’m going to do that, I had the red crank/run wire going through the ballast, then to the positive side of the coil, other side of the positive going to the
