Hey all, got my 4.88 gears for my 8.8 and D35 and I have a D35 drop out from a '92 D35 and am wondering if that will work in my '97? Just wondering if I can set it up first and then throw it in to save some time.

The ABS stuff is at the wheel spindles. You can swap the chunks no problem

Sweet, Also trying to find a old post that you had said where to get the spicer joints and also had the full clips, Drivelinewarehouse.com or something like that?

Also is there a upgrade for the front axle driveshaft yoke straps? or changing out the bolts at least for something more user friendly? Mine are always a P.I.T.A. and the torx is about useless

I just ordered my 5-760x's from the cheapest place with free shipping I could find at the time...something like $70 shipped is what I paid. Then I went to my local parts store for the full circle snap rings.

I drilled out my pinion and run straps:

No problem.

I forget what size drill bit I used but I just kept stepping up the sizes until the size was slightly bigger than the u-bolt diameter.

Use lots of cutting coil... :icon_thumby:

Drill bit that works is a 5/16". Just finished this mod last night
