I recently bought my first vehicle, a 2001 4.0L v6 ford ranger, and I have my drivers exam coming up. In order to use my truck for the exam I cannot have warning lights on and I currently have the ABS light on. I took it to the mechanic for a look over after I bought it but I’m looking to do most of the work myself, they did a code check and came up with C1155 front left speed sensor input circuit failure for the abs. Does anyone have an insight on fixing this? I have to do front rotors and brake pads anyways so I was thinking about just replacing the sensor and seeing if that works initially. Not sure what replacement sensor to get, and where to go from there. If you know anything let me know! Thank you!

First, make sure the cable and sensor are plugged into each other securely.

Also, make sure the wire hasn't been damaged. If all that checks out, then replace the sensor.

As far as which one, you can look up the part in order to get the part number off of a Ford site like Tasca or Ford parts. The sensor may or may not be specific to a RWD or a 4X4 model. Looking up the part and what it cross references to will answer the question as to which one to get.
