ABS and Spedo problem

I had a gallon of water burst under the drivers seat that soaked the connectors there. The ABS and spedo failed and the idiot lights went off on the dash. Took everything apart and dried it off, had a vac blowing air on it for almost an hour.
Its been about 2 weeks and I now have an occasional falure of the spedo while moving (mostly when slowing down), and the abs does not work properly. The cel lights also do not alway come on (indicator that parking brake is engaged mostly).
Do we have any idea what it is that I've fried or what the next action should be?

Can you remove the lower/outer connector and let it hang dry for a 1/2 day?

If so, douche both connectors liberally with WD40 (it is a water displacing compound), then douche all the WD40 out with electrical contacts cleaner. Then pack the connector with dielectric grease so it will continue to exclude water intrusion in the future. If you can't find electrical contacts cleaner, use isopropyl alcohol.

I don't think you've "fried" anything yet. All you are experiencing is poor connection for the low voltage/amplitude VSS signal. It travels on the RD/PK and LG/BK wires.

I would suggest the additional step of finding those two wires' contacts in those 2 connectors and brighten their contact surfaces with some fine sandpaper. Or, simply connect/disconnect repeatedly to self-scrub the contact surfaces. Then apply the dielectic grease and reconnect.

EDIT: The Parking Brake wire that you also need to scrub has the VT/WH wire (violet wire with a white stripe). It's also showing the LG/RD wire is spliced to the VT/WH wire at the back of the female connector. If your 2wd has 4WABS (doubtful), the wire colors are PK/WH spliced to LG/RD at the female connector and a DG/YE wire in the male connector.
