?? about gm derby car

first off i hate chevys !!! i got a 1997 buick lasaber 3800 with 92,000 miles and no dents to smash in my local demo next week .. car ran great and then when i changed the gas tank out to a boat tank and copper lines it started running like ... well a gm .. when you floor it, it wants to cut out . it idles a little hay wire. when the car is running it has fuel presure and when you shut it off no presure. i thought all fuel injested were under presure 24/7 ... when i did the gas tank i just sheet metal skrewed it to the boat tank and used gas tank repair kit it " weld "the sending unit down to the tank

it does the same think with the vent hooked up or not . also i used the origanal gas tank cap on the tank and it does the same think .
can i go to a junk yard and just get any fuel injected tank and bolt it in .


i cant wait to smash this car. gm should have did us all a favor and gone out of bussiness.

Sounds like your lift pump is shorting.

a holly blue would fix that, your just not getting volume to support the engine from just the injection pump.
this may be wrong....... but I've experienced this shorting out at W.O.T phenominom more than once. each time it was due to (bad filter) or the LP not pushing.

the line are all 3/8 copper lines with no fuel filter and the vent it the rubber


fuel pump ???

cars check engine light does not come on ..


i was wondering if i can just bolt any tank in to feed the fuel .
