Hi Transman304, I respect your vast knowledge...Very easy to miss the tab on reverse band when installing servo. Band will rotate and move forward out of location when building transmission. Can be moved back into location while transmission is installed. Need to see the tab of the band where servo pin installs.

This happened to me when I took the transmission out to inspect, clean, and change the filter... I rebuilt the engine myself and only made some basic adjustments. I inspected the reverse servo, removed the piston, and heard a metallic noise, like something had come loose, and it scared the hell out of me... I decided not to go any further, put the servo back on, closed the transmission with the new filter, and prayed to God it would work again...
After I finished rebuilding the engine, I tried shifting it into reverse, but to no avail. I can shift into all gears, but not reverse...
Now, seeing your post, I'm hopeful I won't have to disassemble the whole thing... Do you have any more information on how I can reattach the servo pin band?
