When did they switch the logos? The original photo shows what looks like a plastic logo with a metal-like finish on the front of the letters with the sides finished in black. The logos on my ('86) truck look like this:

i.e. traditional chrome.

Here is what mine have, my '86 XL parts truck where still black and silver like mine.

Kind of wonder if it isn't a package thing, or if yours are aftermarket or something.
