A plea to TRS

Put down the bottle and step away from the computer. :D

The transfer cases will be the same. The difference will be the flywheel/flexplate area (I know very little about auto trannys) which will need to be swapped over to accept the manual transmission and clutch.

im gunna try sourcing another AOD then go on down the list

yeah, another AOD is the easiest one on that list. You are right about the internals of an auto and a manual being very different, even if you are a bit shnoggered. You would need a flywheel to replace your flex plate, you will also need different bolts because the flywheel is thicker.

Most of those are about the same as similar swaps on a ranger. I listed transmissions that should be roughly bolt in. The ZF would be the worst of them because it uses a screwy t-case attachment, beyond that they are all the same. I want to say the ZF still uses a divorced case.

There's also a pilot bushing in the crank end and a clutch pedal assembly to install when switching to manual:annoyed:. Easiest to stay auto.

Oh please, those two things are probably the EASIEST parts of an auto to manual swap.

define easy:thefinger:

Unbolt the old pedals, bolt in the new setup. Slip on the throwout bearing... easy lol

And yes as long as the transmissions the same size and correct bolt pattern it should bolt up, and the t case will bolt right up, but like mentioned before you will need a different flex plate and torque converter if you swap to a different transmission as the bell housings have the correct bolt pattern but are shaped differently so the starter will be in a different location and the torque converter may or may not fit...

Yeah, if you go with a slush box find a new AOD, if you want to actually fix the problem, find a T-5.

im on the hunt tomarrow got people hunting the local area will keep you guys updated
