A plea to TRS

soo anyone have an AOD Transmission they could possibly part with?

mines going to die went in to have it looked at and the tranny filter changed they found a good amount of shavings and small chunks

its sounding like il need a different one, so im going to start hunting the junkyards

if not an AOD being found what else would bolt up?

T-5, T-18, ZF, AODE E4OD, V-8 C-series, 4R70W, some 5Rs, but the 5R and 4R70 would probably need a lot of wire work.

I could probably find 5 or 6 AODs in the yard, but i can't guarantee the quality and I'd have to find the time to go pull one.

ahh cool good lists to search for but im gunna try to stay away from the ones that are harder to put in, some of the others would i have to have a different Trans case?

i have guys but im not sure my skill levels high enough and i think i would need a new T-case then unless it bolts right up

I'm pretty sure most T cases have the same bolt pattern regardless of size of truck or transmission as long as they are like all ford or something...

dur im dumb...what bout the innerds though isnt the way the auto make the thing work diggernt then the manual or have i just had too much socotch

No the T case is a whole seperate system, and each auto trans runs itself by pressure for the most part and is controlled by the computer...

so long as the trannys the same size an bolt patten it would just slip right in? what bout the flywheel? does that matter

I've used that site several times with good luck. All it is is a collection of different JY'd posting what they have. What the site does is keep you from running from yard to yard. It's still up you to check out the goods.
