Got a Cardone reman distributor a little while ago to replace my failing distributor and the hall effect sensor was completely shot, no spark at all and no communication to the TFI module. Decided to use the rotor and just reuse my old failing Motorcraft one for a little longer. I was moving that week and needed my truck to haul some stuff. Made it 5 miles and the rotor snapped in half, so had to get it towed to my new house and commute with a uhaul for a week.
Since then I've got an old Motorcraft one from a junkyard and it works perfectly. Hate the condition of parts today. I've essentially had to park my truck for over a couple months just due to randomly failing parts, and blew up my project car from a failed water pump.
