This horrible valley is 115 degrees and now my ac is having issues. It blows cold and hard but it cuts out here and there. by cut out I mean it quits blowing hard like it should at random then kicks back in within 10 seconds. Whats wrong? do I need to recharge it?:dunno::icon_confused::annoyed:

What exactly "cuts out" the fan or the compressor?

So the air is still cold, but the fan is suddenly not blowing it as hard?

I beileve I named this topic WTF?. but I like ac having issues better I guess.

You haven't given enough information to help with your problem. "It" cuts out. What is "it?" If it is blowing cold air, does the air get warm? Does the fan speed change? Does the temperatue change when the engine is under load such as going up hill. Can you hear the compressor cycling on and off, a clicking sound every few seconds?:)shady

Feel to see if the airflow is being diverted to Defroster vents.

If so, find the vaccum lines going to and from the vaccum reservoir (black plastic sphere or torpedo) andd find the break, rub, etc. in those tubes.
