I've got a '90 4.0 that came with the ac option, but it barely works and I never use it, especially cause it's getting colder. My question is do I really need to buy an ac bypass pulley or can I just get a smaller belt and just ya know not hook up the ac compressor until I get around to buying (and have the 40 bucks) for the bypass.

Totally forgot, the pulley on it also squeals so I'm also just lookin for an easy cheap way to get rid of that

I don't have a bypass pulley or a compressor. Just an empty mount. Thinking about trying to put OBA there.

Yes, you can buy a shorter fan belt for 1990 Ford Ranger 4.0l w/o AC, without AC

No by-pass pulley needed, AC was an option not a standard feature
