a 3.0 can tow! (not for the weak stomached)Pics added!

A friend of mine had a '95 grand prix that had to be moved. We went and picked up a dolly. I said "I'll try it but, It'll probably be slow". The car was snowed in and the plugs were fouled so it wouldn't start. We ended up pulling the car out onto the road then, winched it onto the dolly. By time we got it all hooked up it was dark. We pulled out onto the road easily. I was just telling him "the brakes probably won't be the greatest" when we almost missed the first corner! We made it around the corner so I stopped to check everything. All was well. There are some really big hills between here and there, I only had to drop to 3rd on one of them. We were almost home when we saw something in the road ahead. It was a deer hit by a semi just up in front of us. I didn't have a lot of time to react so subconsciously I straddled it. The truck cleared it just fine but, THUMP. I said "Oh, the car got it". He said "I hope we're not dragging it" I said "No, I think we would feel it". We got to his house and we jumped out to look. I noticed that the dolly sat even lower than the car. We walked around the back to see if the bumper was still there. There is a small rip in one side of the bumper but, that was all. He kicked the bumper and blood and guts fell out. We then went and got a flashlight to look a little better. The front of the dolly is coated with deer fat and hair. I can't wait to take the dolly back tomorrow! My friend said that the car is not going in his garage for a while.

Oh, I wish!
It was borrowed from another friend. He needs it tommorow. I can't wait! I wonder if he will puke.

i feel sorry for the whoever drives down that highway after you...trying to dodge deer chunks. yum.

Years ago, I hit something and didn't know it. Took the car to get state inspection later that day, they put it on the lift, walk around to the passenger side (I was right there) and it's like, "Damn, what stinks?" We look around, guts of some sort in both passenger side wheelwells. "You mind taking home and hose it out first?" "Sure, no problem."

I recently towed an 87 Dodge Dakota back to my shop no problem, with hills. It's really not as bad as they say it is. I love my 3.0!

I love my 3.0s as well (2). My '87 is a total blast to drive on the road, My '86 is a blast to drive off road. I think people that whine about 3.0s are just that, Whiners.
I don't think that you are actually the 3.0s biggest fan, Wicked sludge and Me are right there too!

I hauled over 1500 lbs of tools and 'stuff' out of the burned out shell of a friend's barn once with my old '84 Ranger. In the bed - not on a trailer. Talk about light steering...

Some pics!

Between traffic, the snow plow and possibly coyotes there is not much left. you could probably fit it in a gallon pail.

Yeah, I probably should change that, huh? :haha:

Maybe something like "a fellow 3.0 fan"

You don't NEED to change it. I just wanted you to know, you are not alone.
