my 99 mazda two wheel drive automatic five speed overdive trans wont go if you push the gas kinda hard it trys to move but makes a humming noise the filter and fluid was changed thats when this problem happend the fluid is full and it looks greyish any help would be greatly appreciated i priced a use trans to just swap it but if i have more options i would like to know so please help thanks

Grey? Sounds like someone put in the wrong oil. Correct me if im wrong someone but i thought that tranny took a red fluid. When a tranny starts to burn up it usually turns more brown and smells burnt.

The grey can be a mettalic color from the metal. Its not good. Is your fluid level full?

i know its supposed to be red i work on engines not trannys lol i was just looking for some ideas of what may be wrong with it before i replace the tranny because if i dont have to change it i dont want to be if thats the only option thats what ill do thanks for all ideas of what might be wrong the fluid level is full it smell kinda burnt
