This is all in a 97 standard cab seats are a lil wider than rails nothing a little 1/8 flat stock and a little ingenuity cant fix. Neoprene shift boot. Plans are to rhino line the floor, wire up the outlet and light in the center and neoprene the arm rest in black to finish it all up and tie it all together. The seats hold you real well and are 100X more comfortable than stock. will take more pics of the modded seat rails when I go over to my buddies again.

I just saw some on my local craigslist about a month ago for next to nothing! They've since sold.

Your truck looks great BTW! The interior is coming along!

Looks really good, what did you do with the plug under the drivers seat, does it plug into the escort seats?

The plug is actually attached to the seat belt itself so it wasn't a issue when switching the seats maybe its a 96 cause I know what your talking about with the plug for the seat belt.

I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering, what size bolts are those? 1/2" by maybe 1" long?

Also, did you swap the seatbelt receiver portion from the Ranger seats to the ZX2 seats, or are you just using the ZX2 parts entirely?

I'm in the middle of the escort seat swap (1997 Escort Wagon seats) and I'm using 3/8" grade 8 bolts, 1" long with lock washers. I also used 1" wide 1/8" bar stock instead of 3/4".

I will say it's more fabrication that I expected. Mostly getting the rails off the old seats. So far I have 3 1/2 hours into the drivers side and it's almost done. I expect 4 hours for this seat, probably 3 for the next now that I know what I'm doing.

i wonder if they fit a reg. cab first gen.????

No reason they wouldn't. But again, be prepared to spend a few hours per seat to get the rails off. Then the fabrication on the escort seat side is pretty simple. Just bolt on some bar stock so you can adapt from the 17 1/2" rails of the escort to the 15 1/2" of the ranger. I'll post a pic of the finished bottom side of the escort seat before I install it for future reference.

**edit**
Oh yeah, you have to keep the metal part that has the seat belt holder on one side and the spring hanger on the other. I chose to cut those down rather than keep the whole piece.

im curious about the way you mounted them i have the the zx2 seats in my truck but when i mounted them they dont seem to go back all the way.
