'98 Ranger 4.0l that's been sitting.

Finally got my '98 4.0l auto running again. Vehicle used to live East of Chicago where they put some sort of brine on the road and are, apparently, against undercoating. (It's common to see a 10 year old vehicle that's rusted thru in the rear wheel wells.
So I've had various issues due to serious rust.
The latest was transmission lines.
Due to the necessity to perform any work in my driveway, and health issues, it took a lot longer to accomplish.
Started it yesterday and now have 3 new problems:
1) No brakes. Chances are I've lost another line.
2) Engine throttle doesn't want to return to idle. A bad combination without brakes. I'm assuming the throttle body has gotten gummy. (Same thing happened to my '89)
3) No headlights.

In other words life is just so much fun atm.

At least on my 2nd (and current) 1995, the weak point in the brake system (4WABS) is the three lines out of the ABS module that have a braided section between the body and frame. They seems to rot there bad. Ironically that truck came from your area (Aurora, IL) so the rust was somewhat bad (worse than the ranger it replaced). Over the course of three years I ended up replacing all three lines (the one to the rear brakes I flared a union on at the frame rail, unlike my F150 there's no factory union midway).
