98 no ac again

ok so on my 98 4.0 i did the blend door fix yesterday and the ac worked great last nite, then this mornin it dont work wortha lick. the pin didnt fall out and i live in WI so i cant test teh pressure, and also did hear wat sounded like a leak coming from teh condensor but couldnt feel anything coming out. any ideas?

please some has to have had this happen to em and get it fixed. i cant jsut go down to wally world and get a pressure guage and check that other wise i would

I dont know anything about AC systems really, but I do know that my friend put AC from an explorer on my truck because the stock one was having problems...it gets SO COLD NOW and never had a problem...it has about 15k on it since pulled from the junkyard. the only thing i dont like about it is there is this black ball about the size of a softball or baseball and it just sits there by the firewall towards the passenger side...doesnt seem to secure.
