I have a 98 ford ranger. I’m on a tight budget doing solid axle swap and have Chevy transmission what ford transfer case bolt up to Chevy tranny

None as far as I know
Most Fords used Borg Warner(BW) transfer cases, but Borg Warner transfer cases were also used on GM but had different model numbers, seen here: https://www.f150hub.com/drivetrain/borgwarner-id.html

Different model number usually means different input spline count and bolt pattern

GM tended to used New Process(NP) transfer cases, and Ford did use these as well, an NP205 was used in both Fords and GMs but I believe that have different input shafts

..why not just use a gm transfer case?

Because Gm used passenger side drop instad of driver and I’m on a tight budget but have Chevy th350 trans and Chevy 350 motor but have a ranger that I want to v8 swap

What axle.???.

.if your pumpkin is on the dumb side of the truck...use the Chevy dumb side t case...

.if your pumpkin is on the smart side of the truck...use a Chevy 241 t case with the wormy ass 27 spline input for the th350

From there ..get a clocking ring and you can use the jeep which is best...or ford 208 with the 27 spline input shaft from the Chevy swapped in.

Unless you want a 205. . Same deal. Ford unit .. Chevy input

Nevermind. I thought someone was willing to swap you a Ranger for a grenade/SBC and I was going to say grab it before he sobers up.

I would have to double check, but I believe I have an extra 241C dr. side drop you could have. I stole the short yoke off of it. Shipping would probably be more than buying one local to you though.

I have them.

But I need them
