I've been reading conflicting posts on here.. I've got 31s on my ranger. What psi should I keep them at to get decent life out of them? They're mastercraft ct 31x10.50r15. Place I bought them from put them at 15 which is obviously way too low.

Run mine 32 front, 30 rear. Ymmv.

Best tire mileage is probably at around 34 or 35 cold. But, the ride will be so harsh that you will drop say the hell with that and drop it down until you can live with it.

It depends....

For best tread wear, the way I learned to do it was to put a chalk line across the tread and drive down the street. Look to see where the chalk is worn off. If it's only gone in the center, reduce the pressure. If it's only gone on the outside edges, increase pressure.

Of course, you get the best fuel economy running the tires with the highest pressure they're rated for, but you get a harsh ride and it eats the centers out of the tread.

And then you have to consider what it gets used for. I often run my work truck around 40-45 psi (31x10.50x15 Mastercraft Courser CT) because it gets used a lot for hauling. I need the extra pressure to handle the loads. My choptop doesn't get used for hauling, so I usually run it around 12 psi because that keeps the tread fairly flat and helps with ride quality.
